I figured the first post I make should be a brief introduction to let everyone know who I am and what I aim to accomplish here. My name is Chad, I live in a rural section of Northeast Ohio with my wife and our 3 dogs. I have worked in the residential construction field since 1993. I am a carpenter by trade but have also been a project manager, a business owner, and a freelance writer. My goal here is twofold: I have always enjoyed writing and carpentry/construction work – writing about it is almost as enjoyable as doing the work. The majority of what I write here will be construction based – techniques, tools, thoughts on new materials, etcetera. I also enjoy dabbling in creative writing so I may occasionaly subject you to that.
